Sadly, I recently discovered an unsettling detail about my mother. She told me so nonchalantly, as if I knew, that she believed droogs were nothing but disgusting brutal rapists. Understanding that this woman had been raising me for nearly sixteen years now, since infancy, it shocked me to hear her say this. I thought she knew the true heart and core of what being a droog meant. I'd had so many wonderful discussions with her, but this moment was a disturbing one for me and teenagers worldwide. A droog is a victim and not a criminal. Now, Mother, I am politely suggesting that you please take the time to understand the material "A Clockwork Orange" by means of both reading the Anthony Burgess novel and viewing the film by Stanley Kubrick before you speak with me about droogs again. You clearly do not understand the context in which such brutal aggression is taking place. I forgive you for your mistake, but please, once again, try and understand that it is not the fault of the droogs for their deeds. I am sorry, but I felt the need to politely correct you, as well as potentially prevent others from making this mistake. For those of you not familiar with "A Clockwork Orange" you're in for a treat.
